Book Watch: Releasing This Week #167

    bookwatchRELEASE

Below are the (mostly) YA books releasing this week that I am spotlighting for my “Book Watch: Releasing This Week” post.

These are books for the week of March 11th-March 17th that I have pre-ordered.

    Ruins

    AddtoGoodreads

RUINS by Dan Wells will be released in the U.S. on March 11, 2014 in hardcover, audio and eBook formats. It is currently available to pre-order online in all formats at AMAZON and BARNES & NOBLE.

Published by Balzer + Bray, the print edition is 464 pages.

RUINS is the third and final full-length novel in the Partials Sequence.

    divider2

I have had RUINS pre-ordered since last summer, even though I hadn’t at that time read the first two books in the series. I owned them both, but I just hadn’t gotten the chance to get them on the pile. But I did get the chance to do so very recently.

And while I haven’t yet finished FRAGMENTS, because I didn’t want to be left hanging while waiting the couple of weeks for the release of RUINS, I plan on finishing that book tonight and possibly sneaking RUINS onto the pile once it downloads to my Kindle on Tuesday.

While I may have read the description for RUINS when putting together my post for the tour the other week, I’ve purposely tried to forget what I’ve read so that whatever happens at the end of FRAGMENTS won’t be spoiled. But I’m pretty sure that war is on the horizon and I’m both totally nervous and super stoked to find out how everything ends.

If I don’t get the chance to read it on Tuesday, I will definitely be reading this next weekend. Because, while it’s a series ending book, I really want to discover that ending before it has the potential to be… ruined.

    Description…

Kira, Samm, and Marcus fight to prevent a final war between Partials and humans in the gripping final installment in the Partials Sequence, a series that combines the thrilling action of The Hunger Games with the provocative themes of Blade Runner and The Stand.

There is no avoiding it—the war to decide the fate of both humans and Partials is at hand. Both sides hold in their possession a weapon that could destroy the other, and Kira Walker has precious little time to prevent that from happening. She has one chance to save both species and the world with them, but it will only come at great personal cost.

    The Shadow Prince

    AddtoGoodreads

THE SHADOW PRINCE by Bree Despain will be released in the U.S. on March 11, 2014 in hardcover and eBook formats. It is currently available to pre-order online in both formats at AMAZON and BARNES & NOBLE.

Published by EgmontUSA the print edition is 496 pages.

THE SHADOW PRINCE is the first book in Author Bree Despain’s Into the Dark series. The second and third books in the series, currently untitled, release in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

    divider2

I cannot believe that THE SHADOW PRINCE is releasing on Tuesday and I’ll have the finished copy on my Kindle in just a matter of hours. When I first learned of this book’s release on Edelweiss I immediately requested it for review and added it to my TBR. And I’m heartbroken that I wasn’t able to read it prior to its release.

But I definitely plan on reading it in the next couple of weeks because it’s by an author whose books I love, the story is a modern interpretation of Greek myths, the description sounds amazing, and it is the book I’ve been most anticipating this week. Which is why I spotlighted it for my Book Watch post a few weeks back.

As I have already rambled on about how excited I am for THE SHADOW PRINCE, I won’t continue to blather on about it here. But I am so thrilled that I’ll have the finished copy in my collection, which will definitely prompt me to move this to the top of the pile next week.

    Description…

Haden Lord, the disgraced prince of the Underrealm, has been sent to the mortal world to entice a girl into returning with him to the land of the dead. Posing as a student at Olympus Hills High—a haven for children of the rich and famous—Haden must single out the one girl rumored to be able to restore immortality to his race.

Daphne Raines has dreams much bigger than her tiny southern Utah town, so when her rock star dad suddenly reappears, offering her full tuition to Olympus Hills High’s prestigious music program, she sees an opportunity to catch the break she needs to make it as a singer. But upon moving into her estranged father’s mansion in California, and attending her glamorous new school, Daphne soon realizes she isn’t the only student in Olympus who doesn’t quite belong.

Haden and Daphne—destined for each other—know nothing of the true stakes their fated courtship entails. As war between the gods brews, the teenagers’ lives collide. But Daphne won’t be wooed easily and when it seems their prophesied link could happen, Haden realizes something he never intended—he’s fallen in love. Now to save themselves, Haden and Daphne must rewrite their destinies. But as their destinies change, so do the fates of both their worlds.

    Resistance

    AddtoGoodreads

RESISTANCE by Jenna Black will be released in the U.S. on March 11, 2014 in paperback and eBook formats. It is currently available to pre-order online in both formats at AMAZON and BARNES & NOBLE.

Published by Tor Teen, the print edition is 368 pages.

RESISTANCE is the second book in Jenna Black’s Replica Trilogy. The third book in the series, REVOLUTION, is slated for release on November 11, 2014.

    divider2

I am totally stoked for the release of RESISTANCE. I read the first book in the series and with the way things ended I had a feeling that this sequel would be even more exciting. I’ve avoided reading the description until now, but now that I have, it sounds like I was not at all wrong.

I am curious to find out why Nate and Nadia don’t really have the power they think they do. I’m eager to find out how big the conspiracy is. And I’m even more interested in learning just why this sequel is entitled RESISTANCE.

I’m also curious to see if there will be more of a sci-fi bent to the story than the first.

While I won’t be able to add this to the pile this month, I am really hopeful of reading it in April and can’t wait for my Kindle copy to download so I can add it to the queue.

    Description…

Resistance is the second installment in acclaimed author Jenna Black’s YA SF romance series.

    Nate Hayes is a Replica.

The real Nate was viciously murdered, but thanks to Paxco’s groundbreaking human replication technology, a duplicate was created that holds all of the personality and the memories of the original. Or…almost all. Nate’s backup didn’t extend to the days preceding his murder, leaving him searching for answers about who would kill him, and why. Now, after weeks spent attempting to solve his own murder with the help of his best friend and betrothed, Nadia Lake, Nate has found the answers he was seeking…and he doesn’t like what he’s discovered.

The original Nate was killed because he knew a secret that could change everything. Thanks to Nadia’s quick thinking, the two of them hold the cards now—or think they do.

Unfortunately, neither of them fully understands just how deep the conspiracy runs.

    Don't Even Think About It

    AddtoGoodreads

DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT by Sarah Mlynowski will be released in the U.S. on March 11, 2014 in hardcover, audio and eBook formats. It is currently available to pre-order in all formats at AMAZON and BARNES & NOBLE.

Published by Delacorte Press, the print edition is 336 pages.

    divider2

I am really excited for the release of DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT on Tuesday. I’d first heard of this book when I received the invitation to review it via NetGalley a few weeks back and after reading the description I just had to add it to my list of pre-orders.

While I didn’t get the chance to read it pre-release, I definitely plan on reading it soon. It sounds like so much fun and I am definitely in the mood for this type of read right now.

I am curious to see whether having telepathic powers will be more of a negative than a positive. I’m super curious to see how everyone will get along after they are all able to hear what one another is thinking and know how they’re feeling. It sounds like it will be hilarious, disastrous and potentially a little bit sad for not only those with the ability, but everyone in this story. And I can’t wait to find out.

    Description…

Contemporary teen fiction with romance, secrets, scandals, and ESP from the author of Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn’t Have).

We weren’t always like this. We used to be average New York City high school sophomores. Until our homeroom went for flu shots. We were prepared for some side effects. Maybe a headache. Maybe a sore arm. We definitely didn’t expect to get telepathic powers. But suddenly we could hear what everyone was thinking. Our friends. Our parents. Our crushes. Now we all know that Tess is in love with her best friend, Teddy. That Mackenzie cheated on Cooper. That, um, Nurse Carmichael used to be a stripper.

Since we’ve kept our freakish skill a secret, we can sit next to the class brainiac and ace our tests. We can dump our boyfriends right before they dump us. We know what our friends really think of our jeans, our breath, our new bangs. We always know what’s coming. Some of us will thrive. Some of us will crack. None of us will ever be the same.

So stop obsessing about your ex. We’re always listening.

Outside Dunhammond Conservatory, there lies a dark forest. And in the forest, they say, lives a great beast called the Felix. But Sing da Navelli never put much faith in the rumors and myths surrounding the school; music flows in her blood, and she is there to sing for real. This prestigious academy will finally give her the chance to prove her worth—not as the daughter of world-renowned musicians—but as an artist and leading lady in her own right.

Yet despite her best efforts, there seems to be something missing from her voice. Her doubts about her own talent are underscored by the fact that she is cast as the understudy in the school’s production of her favorite opera, Angelique. Angelique was written at Dunhammond, and the legend says that the composer was inspired by forest surrounding the school, a place steeped in history, magic, and danger. But was it all a figment of his imagination, or are the fantastic figures in the opera more than imaginary?

Sing must work with the mysterious Apprentice Nathan Daysmoor as her vocal coach, who is both her harshest critic and staunchest advocate. But Nathan has secrets of his own, secrets that are entwined with the myths and legends surrounding Dunhammond, and the great creature they say lives there.

    Publisher: Running Press Kids

    Find It: AMAZONBARNES & NOBLE

    Description:

As a straight-A student with a budding romance and loyal best friend, M.T.’s life seems as apple-pie American as her blondish hair and pale skin. But M.T. hides two facts to the contrary: her full name of Monserrat Thalia and her status as an undocumented immigrant.

But it’s harder to hide now that M.T.’s a senior. Her school’s National Honor Society wants her to plan their trip abroad, her best friend won’t stop bugging her to get her driver’s license, and all everyone talks about is where they want to go to college. M.T. is pretty sure she can’t go to college, and with high school ending and her family life unraveling, she’s staring down a future that just seems empty. In the end, M.T. will need to trust herself and others to stake a claim in the life that she wants.

Author Maria E. Andreu draws from her personal experience as a (formerly) undocumented immigrant to explore an issue that affects over one million children in the U.S. But while the subject matter is timely, it is M.T.’s sharp, darkly funny voice and longing for a future that makes this story universally poignant.

Things are a bit quieter for me this week in terms of book pre-orders, but I have my eye on a number of the other books of note I listed, such as BROKEN, PROMISE OF SHADOWS and ACID. So I’m not entirely sure how well I’ll be able to resist the temptation to click to buy at least one or two of them.

I think next week is fairly quiet in terms of books releasing that I have on order, but maybe not… I suppose I’ll find out next Tuesday. In the meantime I’m so excited to be able to read RUINS, though I’m starting to feel my “don’t let it end” problem kicking in. And I’m curious to see where Jenna Black’s series goes in this sequel.

I’d planned on reading both THE SHADOW PRINCE and DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT prior to their release, but as I ran out of time I’ll just have to dive into the finished copies instead. Which I can’t wait to do in the next couple of weeks.

Anyway… I don’t think I missed one of this week’s new releases, but if you happen to know of a book or two releasing that I should have spotted, please let me know! I do not like to miss out on awesome new books, even if I don’t always get the chance to read them right away.

    Happy release week!

As always, I would love to hear what you’re hoping to add to your collection this week!

There are a few books releasing the week of March 11th that I can’t wait for, but the book I’m most anticipating – and have been waiting ages for – is Bree Despain’s THE SHADOW PRINCE.

I feel like it’s been forever since I read a book by this author. I loved her The Dark Divine series, though I haven’t been able to read the final book and say goodbye just yet. So I’m seriously excited to begin this new series.

I love modern interpretations of the Greek myths and I can’t wait to see just how much or little of the mythology the author uses to shape her story. The description talks of a story that involves destiny and fate and a war between the gods, which makes me that much more eager to read it.

I can’t wait to meet Haden and Daphne and see whether they are able to rewrite their destinies. I can’t wait to find out whether this love story is one that ends tragically. And I can’t wait to discover just how the fates of their worlds change. I have a feeling it won’t be for the better.

When I first learned of this new series by this author I immediately added it to my TBR pile. And as soon as it was available to pre-order I clicked to buy. I’m just so glad that the wait is nearly over and THE SHADOW PRINCE will be mine to devour.

So while I’m really excited to read all three of the other awesome books releasing this week, the book I’ve been pining for the longest, with a story that I’m most curious about, by an author I’ve loved since before I became a blogger, is THE SHADOW PRINCE. Which is why I had to put it in the spotlight as this week’s book to watch.

    What about you?

Have you been anxiously awaiting the release of THE SHADOW PRINCE? Is it the book you’re most excited for releasing the week of March 11th?

Do you plan on diving into this book the moment you get your hands on a copy? Or will you wait as long as you can to read it so that the wait for the sequel won’t be as torturous?

Do you love stories that are modern twists on, or interpretations of, Greek mythology? Do you love the sound of this particular story based on its description?

And are you a fan of the author and would read anything and everything she writes? Or are you just a little bit more excited because of what this new series promises?

But Daphne won’t be wooed easily and when it seems their prophesied link could happen, Haden realizes something he never intended—he’s fallen in love. Now to save themselves, Haden and Daphne must rewrite their destinies. But as their destinies change, so do the fates of both their worlds.

Book Watch: Releasing This Week #63

Below are the YA books coming out this week that I am spotlighting for my “Book Watch: Releasing This Week” post.

These are books for the week of March 13th-March 19th that I have pre-ordered.

    ***

Infamous by Sherrilyn Kenyon will be released in the U.S. on March 13, 2012 in hardcover, audio and eBook formats. It is currently available online to pre-order in all formats at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Published by St. Martin’s Griffin, the print edition is 480 pages.

Infamous is the third book in the Chronicles of Nick series by author Sherrilyn Kenyon.

    ***

I seriously have to start reading the Dark-Hunters books and I must get caught up on the Chronicles of Nick. I loved the first book in the series and I’ve been dying to read Invincible since its release. So, of course I pre-ordered this for my Kindle the second it was available.

In this third book, according to the description – and yes I took a peek – Nick Gautier must fight for his survival. Even his father is trying to kill him. And this battle is even more epic because it will determine whether he’s a hero or the boy who “ends the world.”

And apparently for someone who has all sorts of amazing abilities like raising the dead and killing zombies, he isn’t mastering the art of driving. That normal, mundane, human task.

I can’t wait to finally find the time to catch up on Nick’s story and to meet him as an adult in the author’s adult series. I hope to do one or the other in the next couple of months.

Spell Bound by Rachel Hawkins will be released in the U.S. on March 13, 2012 in hardcover and eBook format. It is currently available to pre-order online in both formats at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Published by Hyperion Books for Children, the print edition is 336 pages.

Spell Bound is the third book in the Hex Hall series by the author.

    ***

Finally. Finally, finally, finally! The wait is over. I can’t believe it. Seriously. I know I’m in the middle of reading another book right now, but I will be checking my Kindle download the second I get Spell Bound so that I can find out what the heck happened.

The wait has been torturous. I haven’t been able to stop guessing as to just what might have happened to everyone at the end of Demonglass. I am so glad to not have to wait any longer. The author and publisher have been very hush hush about everything and it’s been killing me. Slowly. Every day. Just killing me.

Even the description doesn’t reveal anything. It actually made things worse by saying that Sophie is “defenseless” and “alone.” What does that mean?

Because of all the secrecy and that cliffhanger ending, I think this is the book I’m most anticipating the release of this week. I spotlighted it for my Book Watch post last month and I’ve been counting down the days until its release.

I am so curious as to why Sophie’s powers have been stripped, how she plans on saving the world and most of all just what happened after that cliffhanger. I have no idea if this is the final book in the series, but I seriously hope not and I hope that if there are many books to come that the endings aren’t quite as cruel as the last.

The Savage Grace by Bree Despain will be released in the U.S. on March 13, 2012 in hardcover and eBook formats. It is currently available to pre-order online in both formats at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Published by EgmontUSA, the print edition is 496 pages.

The Savage Grace is the third and final novel in the Dark Divine series by author Bree Despain.

    ***

I can’t believe that The Savage Grace is the final novel in the series. When I heard that it was, a few months back, I was wrecked. This series was one of my very first series about werewolves that I fell in love with – being a fan of the vamps I was always wary of their furry counterparts. But this series was so easy to love.

Even though my pre-order will download tonight I have a feeling that I’m going to pretend that this series is not ending and wait to read it for just a little while. Although I wanted to throttle Grace just a bit in the last book, I still adore her and Daniel and even Caleb.

The description is not making it easy, though. Starting right off with – “A troubled soul. An impossible choice. A final battle.” – has already more than piqued my curiosity. And to say that the love story will have a “breathtaking conclusion” has me freaking out a little.

But I am ecstatic that this book is releasing this week and that I’ll have my copy in just a few short hours. I only wish that there were a couple more books to come.

Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard will be released in the U.S. on March 13, 2012 in hardcover and eBook formats. It is currently available to pre-order online in both formats at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Published by Delacorte Books for Young Readers, the print edition is 352 pages.

Wanderlove is author Kirsten Hubbard’s sophomore novel.

    ***

Wanderlove is another book whose release date surprised me. But I’m super thrilled it’s releasing this week and that I’ll have a copy for my collection. When I first heard about the book, it seemed like forever until its release, but forever is here.

The cover is what drew me in. Much like the cover for Like Mandarin, the author’s debut novel, its beauty and simplicity really caught my eye. But a story about a girl who is on a “quest for independence” who travels to Central America to discover herself and meets a boy who is also trying to find his way sounds absolutely beautiful and magical and bittersweet.

I can’t wait to meet Bria and Rowan and discover just what they learn about themselves, if anything.

Pretty Crooked by Elisa Ludwig will be released in the U.S. on March 13, 2012 in hardcover and eBook formats. It is currently available online to pre-order in both formats at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Published by Katherine Tegen Books, the print edition is 368 pages.

Pretty Crooked is one of the books that can be chosen for the 2012 Debut Author Challenge hosted by Kristi at TheStorySiren.com.

    ***

The title of the book Pretty Crooked is what first grabbed me. Then after reading the description I was hooked. This story sounds fun and super cute. I love Robin Hood stories and one with a contemporary spin is even better.

I had an early ARC I received through a trade, but had to pass it along since I wasn’t able to read it before release, but I did pre-order it because I wanted to have this book in my collection to read when I got the chance.

Prep school. Theft. Revenge. And one incredibly distracting bad boy. Yes, this book is definitely a book I can’t wait to read.

Starters by Lissa Price will be released in the U.S. on March 13, 2012 in hardcover, audio and eBook formats. It is currently available to pre-order online in all formats at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Published by Delacorte Books for Young Readers, the print edition is 352 pages.

Starters is the first book in a new series of the same name by the author and is one of the books that can be chosen for the 2012 Debut Author Challenge hosted by Kristi at TheStorySiren.com.

    ***

I only just recently discovered Starters, though I did see it on NetGalley a few weeks before that. But having listened to the chatter and then taking a look at the description made me so curious about this book with a cover that is hauntingly, eerily beautiful and somewhat disturbing.

And oooh that description. It makes this book sound seriously creepy and incredibly good, so of course I had to pre-order it. When I first saw the words “Spore Wars,” it made me think this was a fantasy type of novel. But reading on, it seems like something very different.

Between the neurochips, Prime Destinations – the facility in Beverly Hills that rents out bodies so that older people can feel young again – and some kind of an evil plan, this is one book that I’m already dying to find out more about.

I really, really hope that I can read this next month.

Scorched Skies by Samantha Young will be released in the U.S. in paperback format on March 16. The eBook is available now at Amazon.

Scorched Skies is the second book in the Fire Spirits series by author Samantha Young.

    ***

One of the seriously awesome things about self-published books is that the wait between releases in a series tends to be a bit shorter. Especially books by author Samantha Young, because she is a writing machine.

Scorched Skies, the second book in the Fire Spirits series already released in eBook format, but the paperback edition comes out this week. So, even though I have an eBook copy, I wanted to include it with this week’s releases since I hadn’t included it in last week’s post.

I am so excited to continue the story of the Ari, Jai and Charlie. The world that the author created of the Jinn (genies) is magical and alluring and exciting. And I’m incredibly nervous about what is to come in this second book in the series.

According to the description there are lives lost, Ari is being hunted and there is someone else for her to fear. I can’t wait to find out if Ari takes control of her powers and becomes the hunter instead of being the hunted and just what happens, if anything, with her and Jai… or Charlie.

And I absolutely can’t wait to find out what the White King is up to and to meet the new villain in this story, a dark sorcerer.

This sequel sounds totally epic and I can’t wait to read this (hopefully) next week.

    ***

Another awesome week full of amazing new releases. I don’t know how I am going to stay on track with my reads when there are just so many books releasing this week that I’m dying to dive into.

Maybe things will quiet down for the next couple of weeks… I hope… because there are quite a few books releasing in April and a ton of new books releasing in May that I’m more than anxious to devour. Though I have a feeling there are just a few more books full of win that will be releasing this month.

As always, I would love to hear what you’re hoping to add to your collection this week!

And if you have any great suggestions of “must read” books to buy that are releasing this week, please let me know!

    Review: The Lost Saint

The Lost Saint by Bree Despain is the second book in the Dark Divine series. It was released in the U.S. in hardcover, audio and eBook formats on December 28, 2010. The print edition is 416 pages.

Synopsis from the author’s website. Don’t read if you haven’t read the first book in the series CONTAINS SPOILERS:

Grace Divine made the ultimate sacrifice to cure Daniel Kalbi. She was infected with the werewolf curse while trying to save him, and lost her beloved brother in the process. When Grace receives a haunting phone call from Jude, she knows what she must do. She must become a Hound of Heaven.

Desperate to find Jude, Grace befriends Talbot—a newcomer to town who promises her that he can help her be a hero. But as the two grow closer, the wolf grows in Grace, and her relationship with Daniel is put in danger—in more ways than one.

Unaware of the dark path she is walking, Grace begins to give into the wolf inside of her—not realizing that an enemy has returned and a deadly trap is about to be sprung.

It’s ten months later and Grace’s life still hasn’t returned to normal – or at least as close to normal as she’s going to get given the events that went down with Daniel and her brother Jude.

Jude is still missing and her Mom alternates between being in overprotective mode and acting like the living dead. Her Dad is gone all the time, supposedly looking for Jude, and neglecting his fatherly duties and responsibilities as Pastor, leaving her, her sister Charity and her baby brother James to fend for themselves.

When Grace gets a call from Jude and discovers cryptic messages telling her not to trust someone, she is determined to find him, uncover the meaning behind his warnings and save him as she promised she would. But when she turns to Daniel looking for help, he pulls away, pleading with her not to go looking on her own.

As he becomes more and more secretive, she wonders if Daniel was the one her brother warned her about. And when she meets someone who is willing to help her harness her abilities and try to track down Jude, she is more than ready to accept his assistance.

Sneaking around and not confiding in Daniel are things Grace never thought she would do, but with Daniel’s lack of trust in her, why should she listen to him? As she grows closer to her mentor and friend Nathan Talbot, will she be willing to walk away from her relationship with Daniel, the one she was willing to sacrifice everything for in the first place?

    ***

The Lost Saint is the second novel in the Dark Divine series by author Bree Despain. It continues the story of Grace Divine as she attempts to get control over her newly acquired abilities and find her brother so that her family can be made whole once again. In her quest to do so, her relationship with Daniel suffers and the control she so desperately wants begins to slip further and further away.

This is yet another brilliantly written story by Ms. Despain. The book starts right off with a riveting prologue that will immediately have you questioning everything.

What at first seems like a typical plot with an elusive boyfriend, a lack of communication, a girl turning to someone else for affection and a pretty straightforward mystery, The Lost Saint is instead quite a surprise. Each character raises suspicions and at every turn someone new rises to the top of the list. When you think you’ve got everything figured out, think again.

The story is climactic and builds to an explosive and heartbreaking conclusion that will leave you hanging as Grace once again proves to be a worthy and lovable heroine.

    Reviewer gives this book [rating=5]

    On a personal note:

I absolutely loved the first book in the series. It was actually the rather subtle but pretty cover that made me buy it in the first place. I had no idea what it was about or where it was leading. I remember being at the edge of my seat for the second half of the book and completely blow-away by its ending. Needless to say, I’ve had this book on my pre-order list for ages.

When I first started to read this I wasn’t sure if I completely remembered everything from the first book, but it all came back within pages. A lengthy retelling was not necessary to bring back all the events from book one. The first story was so different and the storyline stood out making this series very memorable.

I spent the first half of the book so frustrated with Grace and Daniel and the second half completely on-edge, wondering what might happen. I was completely shocked by the ending which is a really good thing. Who wants predictable? And a few definite tearful moments thrown in – yes I did sob just a little bit – made this such a perfect story to read in one sitting. Grace may in fact truly be “the Divine One.”

(And I love the fact that the author includes that Grace’s dad believes that: anything important could be found in a book. So totally true!)

This series is definitely a re-read and I’d like to read both books back-to-back just to have the experience of discovering this as one complete story.

At the time of this review I don’t have any information on the next book in the series, but with the cliffhanger ending, hopefully one is forthcoming next December (or sooner)!
