SOUL SCREAMERS VOLUME FOUR is the final collection in Author Rachel Vincent’s Soul Screamers series and includes the stories – WITH ALL MY SOUL, FEARLESS, NIEDERWALD and LAST REQUEST.
I didn’t even need to go to the calendar to know which book I’d be featuring for my Book Watch post for the week of March 25th. I’ve been desperately awaiting the release of SOUL SCREAMERS VOLUME FOUR by Rachel Vincent since before I was absolutely certain there would be a fourth volume. Yes, I was hopeful.
When I learned that there would be a brand new short story/novella included in this edition I was ecstatic. When I saw the various teasers on Facebook they nearly killed me. You see, while the series had ended in a way that was more than satisfying, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the characters and the world. This fourth volume was part of the reason I was able to read that last book. Because I knew it wouldn’t really be goodbye.
And while I was so unbelievably fortunate to have had the chance to read LAST REQUEST a bit earlier than its release in this volume, I am just as eager to get my hands on both my print and eBook copies so I can read it again. And again. And again.
If you’re anything like me, reading this short will prompt a re-read of WITH ALL MY SOUL. And if you’re a lot like me it will make you want to read the entire series all over again.
I won’t spoil anything from LAST REQUEST, I’m just not that type of blogger. But I will say it was every bit as amazing as the other stories in this author’s series. Yes there were tears and smiles and more tears. Yes there was sarcasm and humor. Yes there was heartbreak. I couldn’t have asked for more. It was the perfect way to say goodbye.
But LAST REQUEST isn’t the only reason I’m totally stoked for this final volume’s release. I love that the author’s other short stories in this world – NIEDERWALD and FEARLESS – are included and that they’ll all be in one place. Tracking them down when I can never seem to remember the names of anthologies is always tricky on my Kindle.
Plus, this cover is so colorful and gorgeous and amazing. I’m desperate to see it on my shelf, completing my collection.
So while I may have read all the stories in this book prior to its release, there is no other book releasing the week of March 25th that I am as excited for, or have waited as long for, as SOUL SCREAMERS VOLUME FOUR. Which is why I had to put it in the spotlight this week.
Have you been anxiously awaiting the release of SOUL SCREAMERS VOLUME FOUR so that you can complete your collection? Have you been dying to find out just what LAST REQUEST is all about?
Have you been hesitant to say goodbye to Kaylee, Tod, Nash, Emma and even Sabine and have been waiting for this final volume to get the courage to do so? Or is this book’s release, with its very last chance to see what’s going on with the characters, breaking your heart just a little?
And even if it is, is SOUL SCREAMERS VOLUME FOUR the book you’re most anticipating the week of March 25th?
