RIGHT OF WAY is a companion novel to author Lauren Barnholdt’s TWO-WAY STREET.
While there are a ton of awesome books releasing the week of July 9th, at least five of which I have pre-ordered, I just had to choose RIGHT OF WAY by Lauren Barnholdt as the book to watch this week.
I’ve been a fan of this author’s writing since before I became a blogger and I absolutely loved TWO-WAY STREET and have been waiting ages for this companion novel to be released. And it sounds even more amazing than that first book.
Besides, it’s almost summer… and it will be when RIGHT OF WAY releases on July 9th… and what better type of book to read in summer than a road trip romance… gone wrong?
I can’t wait to meet Peyton and Jace and find out just how their romance fell apart. I can’t wait to see how they manage to handle being on a road trip together. And I really want to know who is lying about their destination and who is pretending not to leave something behind.
But I’m most curious about just what happens on the trip and whether they’ll be able to leave the past behind and fall in love again. And as there are less than three weeks until it releases I won’t have to be curious for long.
RIGHT OF WAY sounds like it might be a bit heartbreaking but also a bit romantic. It sounds like it will be one of those books that will give me all the feels, especially the angst-y, twisty-turny ones. It sounds like my heart will ache for one or both of the characters before it will be mended at the story’s end.
At least I hope it will….
So, even though I’m super excited for the release of LIFE’S A WITCH and SHADOW OF THE MARK, I am most excited for RIGHT OF WAY, a book I’ve been dying to read ever since I heard rumors about its existence. And so I had to put it in the spotlight this week because it is the book I feel like I’ve been watching forever.

About the Book
Can a road trip repair a romance gone wrong? Find out in this standalone companion to Lauren Barnholdt’s Two-way Street.
Here are Peyton and Jace, meeting on vacation. Click! It’s awesome, it’s easy, it’s romantic. This is the real deal.
Unless it isn’t. Because when you’re in love, you don’t just stop calling one day. And you don’t keep secrets. Or lie. And when your life starts falling apart, you’re supposed to have the other person to lean on.
Here are Peyton and Jace again, broken up but thrown together on a road trip. One of them is lying about the destination. One of them is pretending not to be leaving something behind. And neither of them is prepared for what’s coming on the road ahead…
