Before I even took a look at what books were releasing the week of February 12th I knew I’d be choosing PIVOT POINT as the book to watch this week. And even though there are some seriously amazing titles releasing that week, I still stand by my choice.

Because this book sounds absolutely amazing. Aside from the fact that Addie’s ability is so incredibly cool – to be able to look into the future whenever she has a choice to make and see the end result for both decisions – there are two potential love stories, a murder investigation and a “dangerous game that threatens everything she holds dear.”

I cannot wait to meet Addie and find out which path she decides to take. I am so excited to see how things unfold with each of the two options she is presented with. I want to see what her life will be like with Trevor, the artist and what it would be like with the quarterback.

As awesome as her ability might normally be, knowing both outcomes in this story sounds like it is anything but. It sounds like her decision will not be at all easy. And it sounds like things have the potential to be heartbreaking no matter what decision she makes.

I first heard of this book a couple of months ago and knew that this was one of those books I’d consider a “must read.” I’m fascinated by stories and movies with alternate endings and alternate paths. And I seriously love, love, love the idea of getting to take a peek at both of them in this book.

I have no idea which path I’d choose for Addie just yet, but I just know I will be torn up about her only being able to pick one. And I am so super excited that this book will be releasing in less than three weeks. I’ve been waiting forever already.

From the cover to the title to the description I am just dying to get this book on my reading pile. And while there are so many other wicked awesome books releasing the week of February 12th, SEVER and THE INDIGO SPELL among them, I am most excited to read PIVOT POINT by Kasie West.

About the Book

Goodreads description:

Knowing the outcome doesn’t always make a choice easier . . .

Addison Coleman’s life is one big “What if?” As a Searcher, whenever Addie is faced with a choice, she can look into the future and see both outcomes. It’s the ultimate insurance plan against disaster. Or so she thought. When Addie’s parents ambush her with the news of their divorce, she has to pick who she wants to live with—her father, who is leaving the paranormal compound to live among the “Norms,” or her mother, who is staying in the life Addie has always known. Addie loves her life just as it is, so her answer should be easy. One Search six weeks into the future proves it’s not.

In one potential future, Addie is adjusting to life outside the Compound as the new girl in a Norm high school where she meets Trevor, a cute, sensitive artist who understands her. In the other path, Addie is being pursued by the hottest guy in school—but she never wanted to be a quarterback’s girlfriend. When Addie’s father is asked to consult on a murder in the Compound, she’s unwittingly drawn into a dangerous game that threatens everything she holds dear. With love and loss in both lives, it all comes down to which reality she’s willing to live through . . . and who she can’t live without.
