Today is the second day of the REVENANTS WEEK BLOG TOUR and I’m super excited to get the chance to introduce to you one of my favorite characters in the book – Vincent Delacroix. When I was asked if I’d like to be a part of the tour, I jumped at the chance, as I am a huge fan of the author, the characters and the world.
When I first discovered Die for Me last year, I completely fell in love with Kate, Vincent and Jules. I loved the idea of the Revenants. And I loved that the story was set in Paris. I couldn’t wait to know more. Die for Me was one of my favorite debut books last year and one I gave my off-the-menu rating to when I reviewed it.
For those of you who haven’t yet met Vincent, I thought I’d share just a little bit about the first book in the series before introducing him.
In the City of Lights, two star-crossed lovers battle a fate that is destined to tear them apart again and again for eternity.
When Kate Mercier’s parents die in a tragic car accident, she leaves her life–and memories–behind to live with her grandparents in Paris. For Kate, the only way to survive her pain is escaping into the world of books and Parisian art. Until she meets Vincent.
Mysterious, charming, and devastatingly handsome, Vincent threatens to melt the ice around Kate’s guarded heart with just his smile. As she begins to fall in love with Vincent, Kate discovers that he’s a revenant–an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save the lives of others. Vincent and those like him are bound in a centuries-old war against a group of evil revenants who exist only to murder and betray. Kate soon realizes that if she follows her heart, she may never be safe again.
For my stop on the tour today, the author, Amy Plum, has not only written up this amazing profile of her character, Vincent, but has also included four photos of potential Vincent’s that she feels look similar to her character and that you will get to choose your favorite from in the poll below the profile.

Smart, sexy, worldly, deadly. Yes, Vincent Delacroix is certainly one amazing Revenant.
Whether you’ve met him before or you just got the chance to meet him through his character profile, now is the time to choose.

Didn’t get enough? Well, you can head over to Amy Plum’s website for a short scene from Vincent’s point of view, HERE.
Still not enough? Well, his story – and the rest of the Revenants’ stories – continues in the next book in the series, Until I Die, which comes out in May.
About Until I Die
Kate and Vincent have overcome the odds and at last they are together in Paris, the city of lights and love.
As their romance deepens there’s one question they can’t ignore: How are they supposed to be together if Vincent can’t resist sacrificing himself to save others? Although Vincent promises that he’ll do whatever it takes to lead a normal life with Kate, will that mean letting innocent people die? When a new and surprising enemy reveals itself, Kate realizes that even more may be at stake—and that Vincent’s immortality is in jeopardy.
In Die for Me, Amy Plum created a captivating paranormal mythology with immortal revenants and a lush Paris setting. Until I Die is poised to thrill readers with more heart-pounding suspense, spellbinding romance, and a cliff-hanger ending that will leave them desperate for the third and final novel in the series.
If you would like to meet the author behind the character and the books, here’s her story and a few places to find her.
Amy Plum is the author of the International Bestseller DIE FOR ME, which is an Indie Next List pick, Romance Times top pick, and recipient of a starred review from School Library Journal. DIE FOR ME is the first novel in a YA trilogy set in Paris. Book 2 in the series, UNTIL I DIE, releases in May 2012.
Amy grew up in Birmingham, Alabama before venturing further afield to Chicago, Paris, London and New York. An art historian by training, she can be found on most days either daydreaming or writing (or both) in a Parisian café.
