Book Trailer: Tempest

Tempest by Julie Cross

Book one in the Tempest series

Available January 17, 2012

Amazon, Barnes & Noble

Once again I’m super excited to be able to participate in this trailer reveal for Tempest by Julie Cross, which comes out in the U.S. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. The second book, as yet untitled, is slated for release in 2013 and the third book in the series will be available in 2014.

A bonus short story released in December, called Tomorrow Is Today, is currently available as a free eBook download from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

This new series sounds incredibly exciting. Time travel. Being caught in the past. Trying to save a loved one. And being hunted by people called the “Enemies of Time” sounds absolutely riveting. I can’t wait for this book’s release, whose film rights have already been bought up by Summit.

And this trailer has me even more excited to get my hands on a copy. It’s super cool. I love how the cover models’ images were incorporated into this trailer. And I love the soundtrack and teaser text. I seriously can’t wait to read this book!

Book Trailer

The year is 2009.  Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps– it’s just harmless fun.

That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future. Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.

But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler.  Recruit… or kill him.

A success in the making: Pre-empted by Summit Entertainment (producers of Twilight) for feature film, with foreign rights sold in more than a dozen countries, Tempest, on sale January 17, is the first book in the buzzed about Tempest series by Julie Cross.

“Julie Cross’s thrilling debut is brimming with excitement, romance, and intrigue. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!” —Beth Revis, New York Times bestselling author of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE
