Book Watch: Releasing This Week #50

Below are the YA books coming out this week that I am spotlighting for my “Book Watch: Releasing This Week” post.

These are books for the week of December 13th-December 19th that I have pre-ordered.

A first ever here on Fiktshun. I have no books pre-ordered for the week of December 13th through 19th. And after some extensive searching, I did not find any books releasing during this week to order. Not a single YA or Adult book.

To say that this is a slow week for releases would be an understatement. I don’t remember the last time that there wasn’t at least one book set to download to my Kindle on Monday Midnight. But this week, there’s nothing. Zip. Zilch. Zero.

It makes me sad. Because this would have been a golden opportunity for a book to be released and actually get noticed. I am still holding out hope for an Indie or Self-published book to be released during the week. Perhaps a book by one of my favorite Indie/Self-published authors….

While I do have a couple books listed below that are releasing this week, they aren’t books that I have pre-ordered. Sisters of Isis is a bind-up of the first two books in the series – The Summoning and Divine One. And the other is simply an illustrated companion guide to the film Breaking Dawn Part I.

Where last week was packed full of awesome books releasing – some I’m still waiting on to arrive – this week it seems I have not one single book pre-ordered. Not even any non-YA books.

This is the very first time since I began blogging over a year ago where there weren’t any books to purchase. And I’m more than shocked. I suppose this would have been the perfect week to release a young adult book, because there is very little, if any, competition for the spotlight.

I know I have a couple books on order releasing next week, and a few releasing just after Christmas. And I guess it’s nice to have a slow week now and then. But this kind of slow just makes me feel like I’ve missed something huge.

As always, I would love to hear what you’re hoping to add to your collection this week!

And if you have any great suggestions of “must read” books to buy that are releasing this week, please let me know!
