I am thrilled to be able to participate in the promo blitz tour hosted by Kismet Book Touring for Elizabeth Scott’s upcoming novel HEARTBEAT, which releases on January 28th from Harlequin Teen.
Ever since I first learned about this upcoming title from Author Elizabeth Scott I couldn’t wait to get the chance to read it and immediately added it to my list of pre-orders. It sounds beautiful and heartbreaking and full of hope. And as I already know and love the author’s writing I am even more excited for its release.
I can’t wait to meet Emma and find out whether meeting Caleb will help her overcome her grief. I can’t wait to find out if there’s hope for love. And most of all I can’t wait to find out whether there is hope for life after death.
I know that I am going to love this story and I know, after having read the description, that there will be tears. But I am hopeful that some of those will be happy tears. And I am hopeful that even if this is a bittersweet tale that there will be moments that will make me smile.
HEARTBEAT releases in just over six weeks, so the wait for its release isn’t too long. And while I am fortunate to have received an early copy to read, even if I did have to wait I just know that it would be totally worth it.
I don’t typically participate in promotional blitzes or spotlight posts. But I just had to sign up for HEARTBEAT’s promo event because of my excitement for this title’s release and because I absolutely adore this author’s writing and I want to be able to help spread the word about her new book.
I am also stoked to be able to share a promo-wide giveaway for an ARC of HEARTBEAT to ten winners at the end of this post.
But before all that, be sure to check out the description for HEARTBEAT, as well as places to find it online, along with Author Elizabeth Scott’s bio and places to find her online. She is most definitely an author to follow.
Emma would give anything to talk to her mother one last time. Tell her about her slipping grades, her anger with her stepfather, and the boy with the bad reputation who might be the only one Emma can be herself with.
But Emma can’t tell her mother anything. Because her mother is brain-dead and being kept alive by machines for the baby growing inside her.
Meeting bad-boy Caleb Harrison wouldn’t have interested Old Emma. But New Emma—the one who exists in a fog of grief, who no longer cares about school, whose only social outlet is her best friend Olivia—New Emma is startled by the connection she and Caleb forge. Feeling her own heart beat again wakes Emma from the grief that has grayed her existence. Is there hope for life after death—and maybe, for love?

ELIZABETH SCOTT grew up in a town so small it didn’t even have a post office, though it did boast an impressive cattle population. She’s sold hardware and panty hose and had a memorable three-day stint in the dot-com industry, where she learned that she really didn’t want a career burning CDs.
She lives just outside Washington, D.C., with her husband, and firmly believes you can never own too many books.
Harlequin Teen and Kismet Book Touring are offering up an ARC of HEARTBEAT by Elizabeth Scott to 10 Winners. See Rafflecopter for details.
