How to Lead a Life of Crime “Class is in Session” Blog Tour + Giveaway

I am so thrilled to be a part of this awesome tour for Kirsten Miller’s HOW TO LEAD A LIFE OF CRIME and to be able to share an excerpt from Mandel Academy’s course catalog. This is such a fun and clever way to be introduced to the book and I am so excited to be able to share just one of the many courses on offer.

Of course if you want to get a better feel for just how things really are at Mandel Academy, or get the chance to meet Flick, you’ll have to read the book. But if you want to know just a little bit more, head over to the How to Lead a Life of Crime website, HERE.

In addition to the excerpt from the course catalog, I also have some information about the book and author and places to find them both online along with links to the other stops on this tour. So be sure to check them all out to learn more about just what kinds of classes are available to the students at Mandel Academy!

And in support of this exciting and refreshingly different book from this very awesome author, I am including a giveaway with my stop. That follows below at the bottom of this post.

Class is now in session at the Mandel Academy, the school for criminals in Kirsten Miller’s new book, HOW TO LEAD A LIFE OF CRIME! To help you solidify your schedule for the semester, we’re highlighting different class options each day along the tour. Choose your favorites, pick up a copy of HOW TO LEAD A LIFE OF CRIME, and enroll in the Mandel Academy today!

The Ultimate Insiders: Mandel Alumni and the SEC

Once upon a time, the Securities and Exchange Commission watched over the US stock and bond markets, ensuring that trade was fair and laws were not violated. For the past three decades, Mandel alumni have been infiltrating this venerable institution. Now, the SEC works for us, and this course will teach you how to use your academy connections to their best advantage.

How to Lead a Life of Crime

A Meth Dealer. A Prostitute. A Serial Killer.

Anywhere else, they’d be vermin. At the Mandel Academy, they’re called prodigies. The most exclusive school in New York City has been training young criminals for over a century. Only the most ruthless students are allowed to graduate. The rest disappear.

Flick, a teenage pickpocket, has risen to the top of his class. But then Mandel recruits a fierce new competitor who also happens to be Flick’s old flame. They’ve been told only one of them will make it out of the Mandel Academy. Will they find a way to save each other—or will the school destroy them both?

About Kirsten Miller

Kirsten Miller grew up in a small town in the mountains of North Carolina. At seventeen, she hit the road and moved to New York City, where she lives to this day.

Kirsten is the author of the critically-acclaimed Kiki Strike books, which tell the tale of the delinquent girl geniuses who keep Manhattan safe. Her novel, The Eternal Ones (August 2010) is a twisted story of reincarnation, true love, and sinister secret societies.

Her latest novels are How to Lead a Life of Crime (Razorbill, 2/2013) and Kiki #3 The Darkness Dwellers (Bloomsbury 1/2013).

She lives in Brooklyn, NY, and she suspects she may have been either Amelia Earheart or Catherine the Great in a previous existence.
