Cover Reveal: Olivia Twisted + Giveaway

I actually hadn’t heard of OLIVIA TWISTED until I saw the email that there was going to be a cover reveal for it. The title led me to believe that this was some sort of a modern retelling of Oliver Twist, one of my very favorite books, so of course I had to check it out.
And when I read the book’s description I was completely sold. This book sounds seriously awesome and I cannot believe I have to wait until November for its release.
But I’m supposed to be sharing my thoughts about the cover, not about the book itself. So….
This cover is super cool. I love the color, the fonts – especially the one used for Olivia’s name – and the code that is streaming down the page. Very Matrix-y. And I love the tagline.
While I know I’ve seen the male cover model somewhere before, I think the female model is very pretty and I like that she’s looking off to the side but you get to see her entire face.
I love the blue, cool tones. And the fact that some of the code is blurred, which makes them look like sparkling jewels in the background.
I might have liked to see the author’s name just a bit larger, or in a different font, to give more weight to the top and add balance, but other than that I think it’s a pretty awesome cover. And if I didn’t know about the book before seeing it, it would definitely have made me check out the description to find out more.
Well, no matter how I discovered this book, I’m so glad I did. Because, as I said above, it sounds awesome. But that’s what I think, what do you think?

Soon, Z has brought Liv into his team of hacker elite—break into a few bank accounts, and voila, now Z has enough money to purchase and drive a motorcycle. Follow his lead, and Olivia might even be able to escape from her oppressive foster parents.
As Olivia and Z grow closer, though, so does the watchful eye of Bill Sykes, Z’s boss. And he’s got bigger plans for Liv…

I can picture Liv’s face: wide-eyed, trusting. Her smooth lips that taste like strawberry Fanta.
It was just a kiss. That’s all. She’s just like any other girl.
Except that she’s not.

So excited about reading this one. Am a huge Dickens fan and I love the idea of one of his stories retold in this fresh new way!

I can see that. It has a very specific appeal. But I totally agree that the plot itself sounds awesome. Liv and Z are two characters I definitely want to meet. And this version of Sykes! And YAY!
