Quickie Giveaway: Splintered

As a few of you may know, I was on a quest to find a print copy of A.G. Howard’s SPLINTERED. As you also may already know, I was, in fact, successful just over a week ago. I found TWO copies….
Okay, there were four… and I would have bought all four but I thought I should leave a couple copies for potential other readers to discover. Besides, one of the covers had a small dent and I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my books….
As I really only need the one book, I’d always intended to give the second copy away. But it’s taken me longer than anticipated to be willing to part with it. Because, as you can see, this cover is so unbelievably pretty.
But I don’t want to be greedy. So….

I haven’t read the book. My sister did, though. I’m not really into classics but I’ve always been intrigued about them. So I guess this one’s true to me “A classic is something that everybody wants to have read and nobody wants to read.” Because I really do wish I’ve read one but never got the eagerness to do so.
PS I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my books, too. That’s why I prefer buying them personally; I tend to turn a hawkish eye and inspect its condition before I buy it. Out of habit. Can’t help it. What can I say? They’re the love of my life. It makes me a little overprotective when I see a dent or tear or cracks in my book, no matter how small it is

I liked the Cheshire cat the most, but the story itself creeps me out.
Thanks for the chance to win. I’m a perfectionist about my books too. I always hate when I order on Amazon and they have a tiny rip on the spine or a bend in the cover.
I loved the Mad Hatter, I know that all the characters were someone from Alice’s real life and I think he represented her crazy father. I guess everything is open to interpretation.

I haven’t read Alice in Wonderland, but I have read the sequel, Through the Looking Glass. I’d say my favorite character is a toss up between the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit.
