Book Watch: Crash
Published by Simon Pulse, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, the print edition is 256 pages.
CRASH is the first book in a new series, Visions, by author Lisa McMann.
There are a TON of awesome books releasing on January 8, 2013. A few that I’ve been waiting ages and ages and ages for. But when it came down to picking which book to put in the spotlight this week, I just had to choose CRASH by Lisa McMann. There really was no other option for me.
Because I love Lisa McMann’s writing. I think she always brings something just a little bit different to her stories. And it has been ages since she’s written a series for a YA audience and I’ve missed being able to continue her stories from book to book to book. And in this case, there will be not three, but FOUR books in her Visions series.
This book sounds eerie. It sounds dark. It sounds heartbreaking. And it most definitely has me intrigued.
I am so curious to find out why Jules is having visions, just what she will have to do to prevent them from becoming a reality, and just how she plans on figuring everything out.
With nine lives on the line, one of whom is someone she’s been in love with, I can only imagine that this book will be nail-biting and as “gripping” and “riveting” as the description promises.
I am so excited to embark upon this journey and to meet Jules who may have this “gift” but is just a regular girl who on occasion gets stuck driving her family’s food truck to school. I just know the main character is going to be someone I relate to, and with the author’s unique but always captivating writing style, I cannot wait to dive right in.
CRASH keeps some pretty amazing company with some of the other books releasing on January 8th, but for me it is the book to watch this week.
