There are a few books I’m looking forward to that are releasing the week of December 18th, but the book I’m most excited for is INDIGO AWAKENING by Jordan Dane. So, of course I had to put it in the spotlight this week.

I’d first heard about this new series awhile back from the author and I was so intrigued and couldn’t wait for its release. I love the author’s writing style and that, combined with the fact that it’s a story about characters with psychic powers, makes me so unbelievably thrilled that I have an early copy to read.

I cannot wait to meet Rayne, Lucas and Gabe and find out exactly what awakening power Gabe has that “could doom them all.” I can’t wait to see what other powers the characters in this story have. I am super curious as to just what it means to be an “Indigo” teen and I can’t wait to find out.

I love that this series is entitled The Hunted as it implies that the characters will be on the run. But if Gabe’s power is as dangerous as the description implies, I’m wondering whether by the end of this first book it will still be the gifted Indigo teens that are being chased or the Believers that were the original pursuers. I guess I’ll have to read it and find out.

I am really excited that this is a new series rather than a standalone and I am already looking forward to what happens in the sequel. As I have an early eARC I will be reading this very, very soon, because I’m just dying to step foot into this world.

And while I am looking forward to both DEADLY LITTLE LESSONS and THE DARKEST MINDS, for me INDIGO AWAKENING is the book to watch the week of December 18th.

About the Book

[stextbox id=”custom” color=”90a6cf” bcolor=”90a6cf” bgcolor=”161154″ big=”true”]

Goodreads Description:

Because of what you are, the Believers will hunt you down.

Voices told Lucas Darby to run. Voices no one else can hear. He’s warned his sister not to look for him, but Rayne refuses to let her troubled brother vanish on the streets of LA.

In her desperate search, she meets Gabriel Stewart, a runaway with mysterious powers and far too many secrets. Rayne can’t explain her crazy need to trust the strange yet compelling boy—to touch him—to protect him even though he scares her.

A fanatical church secretly hunts psychic kids—gifted “Indigo” teens feared to be the next evolution of mankind—for reasons only “the Believers” know. Now Rayne’s only hope is Gabe, who is haunted by an awakening power—a force darker than either of them imagine—that could doom them all.

  1. Yes, I want this one badly too! It’s up on NG but I just don’t have time to fit it into my schedule. I suppose that means I will have to buy it! Ha. ;)

I know how that is. And for you, who reads a ton, I can only imagine how booked you are.

But buying it isn’t such a bad thing at all! I hope you love it.
