Book Watch: Releasing This Week #78

Jun 25

Below are the YA books coming out this week that I am spotlighting for my “Book Watch: Releasing This Week” post.

These are books for the week of June 26th-July 2nd that I have pre-ordered.

Published by Harlequin TEEN, the print edition is 352 pages.

The wait is almost over! Before I Wake releases on Tuesday. I’ve been waiting for the release date for this sixth book in the Soul Screamers series since June of 2011. And while I’ve already read this book twice, it doesn’t mean I’m not thrilled that it will officially be available on June 26th.

As I know what happens, I am not anxiously wondering about just what will. I am, however, already anxious about what will happen in the final book in the series. So as not to accidentally spoil anything, I will only say that the description for Before I Wake doesn’t even hint at the awesomeness of this book.

Yes, there is an old foe. Yes, the game most definitely has changed. Yes, safety is a huge problem. And no, I won’t reveal to which characters, especially as it might spoil If I Die for those who aren’t yet caught up on the series.

So you can bet that I’m thrilled that this book will be releasing tomorrow. I will be much happier reading it on my Kindle versus risking damaging the print edition any further. And I do plan on re-reading it. Maybe even later this week.

And it also means that I’ll officially be able to start the countdown for the final book in the series, With All My Soul.

A Want So Wicked by Suzanne Young will be released int he U.S. on June 26, 2012 in hardcover and eBook formats. It is currently available to pre-order in both formats at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Published by Balzer + Bray, the print edition is 288 pages.

A Want So Wicked is the sequel to author Suzanne Young’s A Need So Beautiful.

I really love the cover for A Want So Wicked, but that’s not why I have this sequel pre-ordered even though I haven’t yet read A Need So Beautiful. I heard that Suzanne Young’s first book in this series was amazing. I own it, I just haven’t had the chance to read it yet.

But as it’s gotten such high praise, I am confident I will love it and will want to immediately pick up this next book. And I wanted to have both in my collection to be able to do so.

I decided to take a peek at the description for this sequel since I won’t be reading it immediately and I heard the main character isn’t the same as in the first book. Thankfully my sources were right.

I’m definitely curious to meet Elise. The description makes what happens to her sound very intriguing. Waking up “with no idea who she is,” getting “flashes” of strangers’ lives, receiving warnings about “Shadows,” and getting caught in a love triangle.

And, with the possibility of her having a soul mate and some connection with the main character from the first book, I can’t wait to read A Want So Wicked to get answers. I really hope to get caught up on the series in August so that I can.

Wow, it’s another quiet release week. I thought I had more books pre-ordered for this week, but it seems I don’t. I think I thought it was a crazy release week because I am so super excited for Before I Wake’s release.

I am fairly certain I’m missing a few titles releasing this week as I haven’t been as up-to-date about pre-ordering books these past couple months as I have been in the past. Though I do have books pre-ordered into 2013 already.

I was right last week, too, that This Is Not a Test wouldn’t be sitting on my TBR pile too long. While I didn’t read it on Tuesday night, I did read it on Thursday and review it on Friday.

And while I have two books pre-ordered this week, only one is for the TBR pile, as I already read Before I Wake twice. Though it is on the TBRR pile. Because I think I need just one more read to get it out of my system. We’ll see….

I hope you have some exciting new books to add to your collection and will finally get to read those books you’ve been waiting an eternity to read. Happy reading!

As always, I would love to hear what you’re hoping to add to your collection this week!

And if you have any great suggestions of “must read” books to buy that are releasing this week, please let me know!

This is a busy release week for me, but most of my titles aren’t YA. Of course, I’m excited about Before I Wake (some of us aren’t as lucky as you). I’m also waiting on Tempest’s Fury (Jane True series) by Nicole Peeler, Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost and Darkness Devours (Dark Angels series) by Keri Arthur. I wish I could take tomorrow off from work to get started.

Oh I’ve seen that cover for Jeaniene Frost’s book. If it’s a new series I might just buy it! I have to check it out. And I do want to discover some of Keri Arthur’s books. I like the idea of Dark Angels.

I wish you could take the day off, too!

  3. Great releases this week and yes I plan on buying both of them as well!

I will also be getting Once Burned and then Jodi Picoult’s YA new book Between the Lines. I have heard great things about it!

I have been debating getting Summerland (also wonderful reviews!) and Smart Girls Get What They Want.

  4. Before I Wake…
    Enough said
