There are a few awesome books releasing the week of June 12th. But the one I’m most excited for is The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead. While I haven’t yet read Bloodlines, the first book in this spin-off series, it is the very next book on my reading pile. And with release date for The Golden Lily in less than a month, it’s a book I definitely have on my most watched list.
The author is an amazing writer. Her Vampire Academy series had characters I will love for always. One of them being Adrian, who is apparently very much in this new series which takes place at a boarding school in Palm Springs, California.
I can’t wait to find out what happened in Bloodlines and to see what’s next for Jill, Sydney and Adrian in this sequel. I have taken a peek at the description and it sounds even more exciting than the description for book one. A story that promises “Strigoi,” “forbidden romance” and “spirit bonds” sounds awesome and has me desperate to find out what I missed and what’s to come. And, the idea that this story is set at a school not solely for vampires is totally wicked and definitely adds to the tension.
With the higher stakes, hotter drama and steamier romance that the description teases and with the possibility of cameo appearances by some of the other favorite characters from Vampire Academy, this book and series totally deserve to be in a giant spotlight.

About the Book
The second thrilling installment in Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy spinoff series
Tough, brainy alchemist Sydney Sage and doe-eyed Moroi princess Jill Dragomir are in hiding at a human boarding school in the sunny, glamorous world of Palm Springs, California. The students–children of the wealthy and powerful–carry on with their lives in blissful ignorance, while Sydney, Jill, Eddie, and Adrian must do everything in their power to keep their secret safe. But with forbidden romances, unexpected spirit bonds, and the threat of Strigoi moving ever closer, hiding the truth is harder than anyone thought.
Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Richelle Mead’s breathtaking Bloodlines series explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive. In this second book, the drama is hotter, the romances are steamier, and the stakes are even higher.

I too am very much waiting for Golden Lily the first book is AWESOME I cannot tell you how good it is. For me it may even be better than Vampire Academy itself but that is down to the fact that I never really liked Rose as a main character.
