Falling Under is a debut YA novel by author Gwen Hayes. It will be released in the U.S. on March 1, 2011. It is currently available for pre-order from Amazon and Barnes & Noble in paperback and eBook formats.
Published by NAL Trade, the paperback is 336 pages.

Falliing Under was not one of the books that I originally chose for the 2011 DAC, but it was one I have had on pre-order for awhile. I actually wasn’t aware that it was a DAC book until this past weekend. I have read one of the author’s short stories and own a couple of her adult books so I hadn’t thought of her as a debut author, but I am glad to add her debut YA book to my DAC list.
I thought the cover looked intriguing and therefore read the description. The synopsis was so mysterious that I knew I had to own it. I can’t wait to find out what Haden is and whether or not Theia loses her soul in the process. It was as if the writer of the synopsis was marketing this book to me. Based on everything it promises, this is exactly the type of book I love.
Although an excerpt is available (link below), I am not going to read it as I want to keep the mystery and let my anticipation for this book build until I get a chance to read it.
